The village of Relleu, only 1.5km from Villa Marazzi is surrounded by mountains up to 1700m high giving spectacular views yet only 25 minutes drive from the Costa Blanca coast, where you will find the towns of Bendidorm, Villajoyosa, El Campello etc.
The area in and around Relleu, is ideal for walking, both for experienced and leisurely walkers alike, with breathtaking scenery from the village and surrounding areas. Cycling for the enthusiast but also beginners can take part in this activity and enjoy the mountains in an easy 'downhill' ride. Spring and autumn are the best times for these activities as the summer months can reach temperatures of 35c, when the beach would become more attractive. Also birdwatchers can enjoy the many varieties with golden eagles, golden orioles, bee-eaters and many more. Best time is normally spring time when obviously all the birds are returning to breed, but also the scenery is probably at it's best with the almond blossom which is a must to see.
For night life, beaches theme parks and water parks etc the 25min drive to the coast offers many resorts including Benidorm, Villjoyosa, El Campello, Altea etc.
Villa Marazzi was built in 2002 spanish style villa, and set in approx. 1300m2 flat landscaped garden, totally fenced and suitable for pets, and small children.
Downstairs is open plan with lounge/diner with woodburner for those winter evenings, TV etc,and fully fitted kitchen area opening onto covered terrace with seating, and onto pool area and BBQ. The pool, 6m x 3m is available between April and October, at other times it will be covered and out of use. Also downstairs there is one double bedroom with double bed and bathroom.
Upstairs are 2 further double bedrooms, one with twin beds and ensuite, the other having bunk beds and a further single bed.
Villa Marazzi is adjacent to Villa Montana Sol and we can offer both villas for larger numbers of people. we can take up to ten people in the two houses. Please ask for details.
Due to the location of Relleu it is essential to hire a car, so please remember this when booking your holiday. we do not offer this service.
THE VILLAGE
Originally settled by the Romans Relleu has many moorish influences especially the ruins of the castle built in the 10th century. The streets are narrow with many well preserved and interesting buildings. Especially notable is the old town hall which now houses a small but exceptional museum, exhibiting many items used in the area. There is an open market 3 days a week selling local produce and also numerous shops including a pharmacy, butcher, fishmonger, hairdresser, internet cafe, banks, numerous bars and restaurants. The village has two fiestas a year during August and September when the whole village gets involved with everything from religious parades, street paellas, fireworks, all-night bands etc etc.
