La Alfoquia - appartamento in affitto per le vacanze

Our 2 bedroom apartment is in the quiet village of La Alfoquia which is situated in the beautiful Almanzora Region of Almeria.
Our apartment is in a new small development with 2 communal pools, 1 which is ideal for small children. There is a petanque court, pool bar and gym beside our apartment.
La Alfoquia is a small village with Spanish and English bars, restuarants, internet cafe, tobacconist, butchers, corner shop and childrens play area.
Zurgena is a mainly Spainish Village 1 mile from La Alfoquia where you have a post office, bars and a fairly big supermarket.
There are markets in La Alfoquia (Sunday)and Zurgena (Friday) where you can buy all the fresh fruit and vegetables you require as well as clothes, jewellary and book stalls
La Alfoquia village is a quiet area but not isolated as there is a new motorway running close by which takes you to Albox town in approx 10 mins driving in one direction and Garrucha costal town is 20 minutes drive in the other direction. Majocar, with a beautiful coastline to follow, is a further 5 minute drive past Garrucha.
Other attrations include secluded beaches within 15 minute drive, golf courses including Dessert Springs famous golf course within 15 minute drive, markets in nearby towns such as Albox, Arboleas and Hercules Overa. Vera Water Park is approx. 15 minute drive heading by Garrucha. Chinese restaurant, 10 pin bowling, kids soft playing area are about 5 minute drive out of the village via Albox.
A beautiful village called Nijar is approx 45 minute drive from La Alfoquia (mainly motorway with some beautiful rugged countryside) and well worth a visit as you can buy their beautiful handcrafted pottery in many stores in the village.

I also make cards for any occassion and love doing jigsaws. A few years back when visiting Southern Spain I fell in love with the quaint village of La Alfoquia and hence bought properties there. I always love to get to La Alfoquia for chill out time and to re-energise my body after the cold weather over here in Ireland.
