La Plana is a beautiful converted Spanish finca set amongst 3 hectares of gardens, orchards and terraced walkways and surrounded by cypress hedges. Lovingly nestled in protected national and marine parkland on a hill above the popular town of Jávea, this is a true place to kick back and enjoy the good life in an area of Spain famed for outstanding natural and cultural beauty, idyllic beaches and plenty of outdoor activities.
That said, you could be forgiven for letting it all go by with a good book and a cool drink when you stay here.
The house revolves around a large open plan living area with deep sofas and a log fire for colder nights, while the footprint of the old house is extended by 30m of covered veranda or 'Naya' as it is termed in Valencia. An extensive citrus, olive and almond orchard is to the rear of the house, and both are perfect for a sunny day relaxing in the shade or strolling amongst the trees.
On one corner of the orchard, a few steps from the house is a 20m floodlit pool with shower and diving board to ensure that morning lengths are enjoyed under the blue sky and the fun continues after the sun has gone down. The pool gets the sun all day so if you're looking at basking in the sun, here's the place.
The other side of the house also has a more secluded sun deck and contemporary knot garden, full of local herbs and flowers. Much of the formal gardens are selected to compliment the national park around the house, and guests get the feeling of being fully immersed in the scenery.
Two double bedrooms and a twin ensure all are comfortable amongst classic surroundings of bright pine and shuttered windows, while newly renovated bathrooms and top spec showers ensure that no mod con is left out, in spite of the rat race feeling miles away.
The Valencia region is famed for excellent fish, seafood and rice, and what holiday could be without a good barbecue. La Plana is equipped for you, your friends and some guests with an outdoor kitchen with built-in BBQ, charcoal oven, electric hob and seating indoor or outdoor for ten so that dining al fresco is a piece of cake. Though if you do feel like cooking indoors, a fully equipped wood-beamed kitchen is in the heart of the house, and is perfect for winter feasts in front of the fire.
The neighbourhood is well known for its walks and rambles, ancient windmills, hippy retreats and secluded mountain spots. That said its possible to be in town on foot in 30 minutes via a cliff path, while the beach is 15 mins away by car. Supermarkets and a weekly market are less than 20 mins away.
for foodies: A paella in town is a must as is a visit to the port and its seafood tapas bars. Many guides are available in the house so guests are spoilt of choice. You're also welcome to pick fruit from the garden, so fresh orange juice in the morning is a must.
The house is somewhere that has made many a wonderful holiday and it would be a pleasure to share it with you.
A short walk to the lighthouse will enable guest to have one of the best views in Javea. The villa is wheelchair friendly with only one small step from the naya into the house. A ramp is provided for this access. Javea offers a wide variety of activities for the holiday maker from beaches to mountain climbing and nightclubs to karting. The surrounding towns and villages are well worth visiting for shopping, eating out, cultural activities and fiestas. All the entertainment requirements for an ideal holiday are within a short drive, but the villa is also a sanctuary away from the tourist crowds.

|Note:||The rental price of the villa includes gas, electricity and water during the high season. In the low season there will be a charge of 100 euros per weeks for gas and electricity. A 25% reservation fee is required to secure the property and the final balance must be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival. In the case of late booking, payment must be in full.
