About the Costa del Sol:

The Costa del Sol is Spain’s number one tourist destination. The proximity of Malaga International Airport and the airport at Gibraltar means that the entire coast is now easily accessible. The town of Mijas, Fuengirola, Marbella, Puerto Banus and Gibraltar are within easy reach, along with the historic cities of Seville, Ronda and Granada. The area boasts on average 320 days sunshine a year.

About Calahonda:

Calahonda is located on the Costa del Sol midway between Marbella and Fuengirola, Close to Puerto Cabopino, close to numerous golf courses, 30 minutes from Malaga airport, Sitio de Calahonda is one of the largest urbanizations on the Costa del Sol. All you might need is encompassed at the heart of this thriving community, banks, large multinational supermarkets, shopping centers, health clinics, beach clubs, myriads of bars and restaurants with cuisine from every corner on the world.

The local bus goes between Fuengirola in one direction and Marbella in the other. Bus stops are just outside the apartment - same side towards Fuengirola (goes through La Cala - markets on Saturday and Wednesday) and on the opposite side of the road towards Marbella.

Calahonda is close to the sophisticated world famous Marbella and convenient for Puerto Banus and Fuengirola. Superb beaches are a five minute drive away and the harbour of Cabopino which is served by excellent restaurants and bars is nearby. Also nearby are family attractions including Tivoli World, Aqua Park the new Mijas Race Course and cable car rides to the Calamorro Mountain.

Calahonda is one of the largest and most coveted urbanizations on the Costa del Sol. Protected by the magnificent mountain slopes of Sierra Blanca and La Concha, it benefits from the exceptional all year round climate of Europes southernmost coast, establishing it as an ideal holiday destination.

About the complex:

Las Cascadas de las Lomas is a brand new luxury development, of modern design apartments. They are situated, in a very quiet location in Calahonda. There are beautiful walks in the area where you can see Gibralta and even Africa on a clear day. Only a few minutes away are local shops and restaurants. Less than two kilometers away you have the town centre there you will find a huge range of amenities, including restaurants, bars, night clubs, banks, medical centre, and taxi rank. Calahonda beach lies just a few minutes past here.

Other local amenities include a tennis club, and a wide choice of golf courses. Just a five minute drive from Calahonda is the beautiful Puerto Cabopino, which boasts a beautiful port with restaurants and bars. Just behind the Port is Cabapino beach a beautiful golden sand beach, with water sports, public toilets/ showers, bars and restaurants.

There’s Puerto Banus, famous for its beautiful marina and nightlife is a 30 minute drive from Calahonda and is packed with a variety of restaurants night clubs. Other places of interests include, Marbella with its beautiful Orange square 25 minutes. Benalamadina 20 minutes, Fuengirola 15minutes.

Directions from Malaga Airport: (30 minutes drive):

Coming out of the airport go right. Keep on the inside lane so as not to miss your exit. Look out for exit marked, Benalmadena or Cadiz the road you’re looking for is called the N340 or the A7, these are one in the same. Then look for a second exit marked Torremolinos or Algizeras, you will see an option for AP7 (toll road) or A7 always choose the A7 (or N340). This road will take you all the way to Calahonda.

You will bypass Fuengirola, and as you do you will see Dunnes stores on your right, and a Lidle, and a huge shopping centre call Eroskey, should you wish to stop.

Continue on past Fuengirola, keeping on the A7 (N340) Just before Calahonda you will see an exit for a resort call Riviera Del Sol, get ready to exit. There are four exits to Calahonda take the second one, you will know it’s the right one as you will see big white letters on the embankment as you exit “Sitio de Calahonda”.

Continue up that road short distance and you will come to a round about, go all the way around the round about, and take the last exit, moving up the hill. Continue up that road you will notice speed bumps as you go, then you will see a lot of Restaurants and bars on your right, go past these until you come to a cross roads. Take a right at the cross roads, and keep left at the fork and continue up the hill.

Stay on that road for about 2.5 Kilometers, there are a number of turns as you go up the hill, keep on the main road. About two thirds ot the way up you will notice a Pizzeria, and other restaurants, veer left and keep going. You will come to an apartment complex called Bonita Hills, get ready to take the next left. You will then see on your left “Las Cascadas de Calahonda”, (a cream colored building) take that left and as you go around the next bend to the right you will see a big red building, with Las Cascadas de las Lomas and the entrance into the car park. Press the top left button on the remote control and proceed to parking space number 34, this is the space allocated to your apartment, please do not use any other spaces, directly opposite the car park space you will see a door marked “B5” go through to the lift, press floor number 2, as you exit the lift there are two apartments, it’s the one on the left. Remember to turn off the alarm.
