Comfortable house, two acres of grounds, great mountain views, large gated pool and gated garden. Enjoy a rural location, close to town in one of the most beautiful parts of Spain.

* 5 en-suite bedrooms , 2 smaller twin/single bedrooms

* Well equipped kitchen with Smeg range cooker

* Large (10 x 5 metre) gated pool – with sun loungers and mountain views

* Open living area with wood-burning stove and large extendable dining table

* The Olive Hut (40sqm extra living space) – for table tennis, yoga and games

* Various shady terraces – al fresco dining for 12 and spaces to be alone or together

* Good wifi reaching all the bedrooms, gardens and pool terrace

* CYCLING & MOUNTAIN BIKING – some of the best trails and terrains in Spain, on- and off-road – professional bikes can be delivered to the house

* WINTER SPORTS – normally from late November to early May. Snowshoeing and off-piste skiing locally.

BEDROOMS AND GUEST NUMBERS

Almond Hill House consists of the main house and the Jasmine room annex. Sleeps up to 14 with a mix of adults and children. See floorplan in photos section.

* WISTERIA: Double en-suite (walk-in shower), private balcony

* OLIVE: Double/twin en-suite (wet-room style bathroom)

* ORANGE: Double/triple/twin, en-suite (shower-over-bath)

* LEMON: Small twin for children/single adult/small double

* ALMOND: Double en-suite (walk-in shower) with adjoining Fig

* FIG: Small twin for younger children/single bedroom, adjoining Almond

* JASMINE ANNEX: Large double/twin, en-suite (walk-in shower)

JASMINE is included in bookings of more than 12 people and can be rented by groups of 12 or less for £200 per week. It is never rented independently of the main house.

FAMILY SUITES

- Orange/Lemon and Almond/Fig work well as family suites

- Orange can be set up as triple for children - or as a double with a child's bed

BABIES and infants aged under 2, using a cot are not charged and can stay in addition to maximum numbers. Two cots, two high-chairs and a baby monitor provided.

CHILDREN WILL LOVE IT

* They will be surrounded by nature and can pick fresh fruit from the tress

* There's a smallholding with goats, chickens and geese at the top of the drive

* It's away from busy roads, the pool is gated, as is the lawned garden

GETTING AROUND

* A car is recommended – but it's easy to get to Granada and Lanjarón by bus

* A 20/25 minute walk to town along quiet back lanes

DRIVING TIMES FROM THE HOUSE

* White Villages – 25 minutes

* Beaches – 35 minutes

* Granada and the Alhambra -– 55 minutes

* Málaga – 90 minutes

* Ski resort – 75 minutes

* GRANADA AIRPORT - 55 minutes (BA flies London City to Granada direct)

* MÁLAGA AIRPORT - 90 minutes (many airlines fly to Málaga from all over Europe)

* A PRIVATE CHEF can be booked for a fresh, seasonal, three course meal

ACCESSIBILITY

* Olive and ensuite is step free with a wet-room style bathroom

* Almond has a small step from the internal patio, is step free to the bathroom and has a small step into the shower

* Jasmine is step free, step free to the bathroom and has a small step into the shower

* Fig is step-free from the living area, there are two steps down to the Almond room

* Orange and Lemon have two steps from outside and from the internal patio - with step free access between them and the bathroom

* There is colour contrast with dark wood doors and windows and pale floors

* Garden and terraces are accessible directly from the house via a concrete ramp

* There are two steps from the front door to the living area

* Living area, kitchen and utility room are all on one level with wide doorways

* Furniture can be moved on request

* Shower chair available on request

THE OWNERS live in a neighboring property with their own private gardens, terraces and driveway – they will greet you on arrival and are discretely on hand if required
