The house sits on a hillside with the sea and the coast line visible from nearly every room in the house. The terrace is the perfect place to sip a drink and let the warm soft sea breezes erase all the cares of everyday life. Comfortably appointed with a large wooden pergola for shade and the added touch of a outdoor ceiling fan, this terrace and the views to the Mediterranean are hard to pull yorself away from. There is plenty of space around the pool terrace and with sun loungers and umbrellas this makes the perfect area for sunbathing and relaxing.
The bedrooms (two doubles and one twin room) are all fitted with high quality linens and pillows and have plenty of built-in drawer and cupboard space and all have stunning views to the sea. There is TV reception, wi-if, a stero system, books and board games and outdoors there is a table tennis table and BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need.
There is also a Sports Centre that has a number of facilities such as:
two communal pools (one a child's pool)
A tennis court
A football pitch
A child's play area
All are available for residents of the villa.
Villa Vista Mar is located in the prestigious "Monte de los Almendros" urbanisation just outside the picturesque seaside village of Salobrena on the southern coast of Spain. The area of the southern coast, now officially referred to as the Costa Tropical de Granda, is 45 minutes by car directly south of Granda and 1 hour and 5 minutes east of Malaga. the villa is also located just 5 minutes by car outside of Salobrena town centre. The neighbourhood which has an abundance of places to admire the beautiful views of the sea and coast below is ideal for walking. The small fishing village of La Calata is a 10 minute walk from the house and has several bars, a shop, a bakery and a great place to watch local fisherman.
Salobrena is a lovely picturesque Spanish village that is ever growing and be coming more international. With its 14th century Moorish castle perched atop the large rook which jets up from the surrounding planes, Salobrena is a truly white seaside village. Salobrena has a curt population of approximately 12,000 inhabitants and is transforming itself from its roots as an agricultural town to one where tourism and real estate are its primary source of economic activity. The town is divided into main areas that have grown together. The old part of the town or "Casco Antigo" is built on and around the large risk that defines the towns topology. The newer beach area is teeming with sun worshippers of all nationalities. Both parts of Salbrena are full of shops, restaurants, tapas bars and cafes. There is a wide range of things to do and sights to see both in town and the surrounding areas.
Between the coast and the city of Granda, with the Alambra Palace, are the Alpujarra mountains which are dotted with interesting hillside white villages. There is Also the larger Sierra Nevada mountains just outside Granda with a popular ski resort at the top. When the timing is right you can be enjoying the suns rays and admire the snow topped mountains in the distance.
It is of course possible to enjoy a late spring day of skiing followed by sun bathing at the beach or around the pool. The climate is truly Sub Tropical with mild winters and summer temperatures in the mid to high 80 degrees F. (27 degrees C.) all combined with low humidity and soothing sea breezes.
