Spacious three bedroom penthouse apartment arranged on two levels. On the first level is a kitchen, hallway, twin bedroom with adjoining full bathroom, huge double width lounge/dining room with 2 sets of terrace double doors opening onto a large terrace overlooking the pool area, sea and Estepona. On the second level is a hallway with door onto the second front terrace with identical views. The master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (with a double basin, bidet and bath/shower) has its own terrace doors onto the upstairs terrace. The 3rd bedroom upstairs has an en-suite bathroom and its own terrace doors onto a 3rd private terrace. This apartment has its own parking space in an underground (keeps your car cool!) garage which is directly accessed from the apartments stairway.
The development Terrazas de la Bahia is on the hillside at Casares Costa (or Bahia de Casares), just off the main coastal road 6km west of Estepona. Further west, within a couple of minutes drive (or a lovely beach walk), is the town of Sabinillas and the pretty port at La Duquesa both with a huge variety of restaurants, cafes and bars. 14km inland is the much photographed white pueblo of Casares known as the Hanging Village. This part of the coast is much less developed but well connected by the coastal road and the motorway. Estepona, Casares and Sabinillas remain refreshingly traditional Spanish villages. It is a 45-60 minute drive from Malaga airport, 30 minutes from Gibraltar airport and 1 1/2 hours drive from Jerez airport.
Entertainment The beautiful, historic cities of Seville, Granada, Jerez and Ronda are within a couple of hours drive and are worth a trip. Closer are Marbella old town, and the traditional villages of Casares and Gaucin. There is Puerto Banus for designer shopping or Gibraltar for visits to the rock, dolphin spotting and duty free shopping (great for cosmetics and spirits). Tarifa is 40 mins drive away and is surrounded by stunning flat wide beaches perfect for surfing, kite-surfing and where you can also scuba-dive. Tarifa town has a laid back atmosphere with North African influences in its cuisine. From here you can make a good day trip by short ferry to Morocco.
There are 3 golf courses within 5 minutes, Finca Cortesin (Volvo world matchplay championship) the Robert Trent Jones course at Duquesa with panoramic views of the marina and Estepona Golf. Also nearby, within 20 minutes are Alcaidesa Links course, Valderrama and San Roque Golf Club.
Families The apartment is great for young children as this is a quiet small development where they are arranged on one level with large terraces front and back to make a huge secure space for them to play. There are full blinds on all the bedrooms which totally block the sun early morning or siesta time! The development has 2 baby pools. We have two young children ourselves so can make recommendations based on experience and provide information on many activities like art classes, go-karting, donkey rides, horse riding. There are waterparks at Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Algeciras (between a 30-45 min drive). The Selwo safari park is 15 mins drive the other side of Estepona (and is free for under 3s!). The zoo at Fuengirola makes a great days outing as does Tivoli World in Benalmadena with rides suitable for children who are just walking to teenagers.
Gibraltar Airport is nearer at about 40km but has less flights.

The apartment is normally available from 4pm on day of arrival and we ask you to vacate by 10am on the day of departure. We will try to accommodate early arrivals and late departures subject to other bookings. A deposit of 25% will be requested to secure a booking with the balance due 8 weeks before departure. A security deposit of £150 is required with the final payment which will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure. The apartment is cleaned prior to arrival and for stays of two weeks or more linen is changed weekly.
If you would like, we can arrange for some basic shopping to be purchased prior to your arrival. The cost of this service is 7 euros plus the cost of the provisions bought. This is payable on arrival.
