The house is in an elevated position with lovely views of the adjacent mountains and villages. It is surrounded by 400 orange trees that you can walk around.
The house itself is basic but all works, with a well equipped fitted kitchen and an open fire in the lounge. The house contains a washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer, TV, video, DVD and stereo.
The main bedroom has a double bed. Bedroom two has two single beds, and bedroom three, two single beds. The fourth bedroom has two bunk beds.
The house is child friendly and secure.
The property is all on one level and access inside is via a small step. The property has not been specially constructed or adapted but would suit those looking for easy access.
The outside area is flat and has a good size patio area with plenty of shade for the summer and which is ideal for outside living. There are plenty of tables and chairs for use outside. The swimming pool (10m x 5m) is a ‘deposito’ type which means that it is also used to water the oranges and is regularly refilled. It is not heated but is great in the summer.
The village of La Barraca de Aguas Vivas is on the CV50 between Alzira and Tavernes de Valdigna in Valencia province. It is 45 minutes from Valencia airport and one and a half hours from Alicante airport. A car is essential.
The house is 15 minutes walk from the village which has a baker,small supermarket, chemist and 3 bars with associated restaurants. Alzira (15 minutes drive) has a Carrefour and Tavernes (15 minutes drive) has a Mercadona for a larger supermarket shop.
The property is 20 mins to the nearest beach at Tavernes. The beach is long and sandy and generally uncrowded. Alternatively, a 30 mins drive will take you to Gandia or Cullera which are both fishing ports, well known for their bars, restaurants and long expanses of sandy beach.
The ancient town of Xativa is a 25 minute drive away, and it is only 45 mins to the centre of Valencia itself.

Changeover day is flexible. Arrival time after 4pm and departure by 10am unless agreed by prior arrangement.
30% of the total rental cost is payable on booking. The full balance of the rental cost plus a £300 (350€) returnable breakage deposit must be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival.
