Nearby Estepona (6 km) is one of the few coastal towns that has succeeded in maintaining its pueblo charm and Andalusian character, making it a popular travel spot for couples, families, golfers and luxury travellers alike. The narrow cobbled streets filled with flower pots, modern marina ‘Puerto Deportivo’ and fishing port, Spanish cafes and bars spilling out on the streets and the quaint shops and bodegas, all combine with the tourist infrastructure and 21 km of beaches to make this one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol.
In the immediate neighborhood, there are typical white-washed Spanish villages such as Casares, Castellar and Manilva, six golf courses within a 15 minute drive of Bahia Dorada, blue-flag beaches with delightful beach bars and plenty of activities for families and couples. Historical cities such as Sevilla, Granada, Ronda, Cordoba and Jerez are all within easy driving distance.
